    The Queens Head Inn has recently refurbished its restaurant with a comfortable yet traditional design. There is plenty of space between the tables and the restaurant offers a quality and varied menu provided by the inn's chef.

    The Queens Head Bar is a fully refurbished yet traditional bar. The bar serves an extensive range of beers and wines from around the world, with soft drinks available for the kids. For the more discerning palette, why not try our range of real ales and malt whiskey's?

    The rooms are practical as well as comfortable with a warm welcoming feel. Each bedroom has been recently refurbished and has private bathroom with shower, telephone, TV and tea/coffee facilities.

    The accommodation is ideally situated near the Cheviot Hills, on a popular cycle route and within easy travelling distance from Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Bamburgh Castle and Seahouses.  That makes the Queens Head Inn the perfect base camp for your visit to the area.

In the winter the lounge bar is warm and welcoming  whilst in the warmer months you could choose to dine al fresco on the patio or enjoy a snack and drinks with a view of the Cheviots.
We serve an excellent selection of Real Ales, Lagers and Wines from around the world.

All our rooms have there own individual character and have been kindly restored to offer every modern day convenience. Each room is spacious, clean and comfortable.
Families and groups are very welcome but please check availability to avoid disappointment. All rooms have en suite facilities with shower facilities.
All rooms are No Smoking.

 

Children

We pride ourselves on a relaxed family atmosphere. We welcome families with children.
Out of respect for our customers without children we ask that parents ensure their children are supervised in all areas of the pub and accommodation at all times.

 

Dogs

Dogs are welcome in the Public bar and the gardens - we keep a selection of doggy treats behind the bar for well behaved dogs. Out of consideration for other customers, we ask that dogs are kept on a lead and under control at all times.
Dogs are not allowed in the Restaurant or Bed and Breakfast accommodation.

 

Cycling

This part of the country offers some fantastic cycling in the most glorious surroundings. Pennine Cycle Route 68 passes close to Glanton village. Known as the "Coast and Castles Route", National Route 1 is only a few miles away and stretches all the way from Newcastle to Edinburgh. With Kielder to the South, the Scottish Borders to the North and the Cheviots on the doorstep, whether its on the road or on the trails, make the Queens Head in Glanton your base camp. We have bikes for hire but please book in advance to avoid disappointment.

 

Parking

The Queens Head, Glanton has ample free car parking space to the front of the property.
